I graduated from Ellsworth High School and lived 20 miles from there in the small town of Geneseo. I graduated from Sterling College in 1991. I couldn't find a teaching job right out of college, so I worked as a para in the LD room at Liberty Middle School in Hutchinson. In 1994, I was hired to teach 8th Grade English at the same school. My husband's job brought us to western Kansas. Darryl and I moved to Offerle with our daughter Addison in 2000. I taught 5th-8th Grade English and Reading at Kinsley Offerle Middle School for a year. I was hired in 2001 by Spearville to teach Title 1 Reading and Math to K-5th grades.
