Graduation Requirements
USD #381 GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
USD 381 requires each graduate to earn a minimum of twenty-four credits. Graduation requirements from Spearville High School are as follows:
Five Credits of Language Arts:
- English 1 (9) 1 credit
- English 2 (10) 1 credit
- English 3 (11) 1 credit
- English 4 (12) 1 credit
- Speech 1 credit
Three Credits of Mathematics - one credit must be either
- Algebra 1 1 credit or
- Geometry 1 credit
Three Credits of Social Science - two credits must be
- U. S. History (11) 1 credit
- U. S. Government (12) 1 credit
Three Credits of Science - two credits must be
- 9th Grade Science (9) 1 credit
- Biology (10) 1 credit
One Credit of Physical Education and Health - one credit must be
- Physical Education & Health (9) 1 credit
One Credit of Fine Arts (beginning with the class of 2009)
- Art, Band, Chorus, or Forensics 1 credit
The remaining units may be selected from the elective courses offered at SHS. Students not obtaining the required credits will not be allowed to participate in graduation activities.
