My school day schedule:
7:50 am – 9:05 am…..Counseling
9:08 am – 10:00 am…..Teaching (College Algebra)
10:03 am – 3:10…..Counseling (lunch break around noon)
I am Lorie Stein, Counselor and Math Instructor at USD 381.
This year marks my 17th year in the education profession, and my 10th year in the Spearville school district. I received my bachelor’s degrees from St. Mary of the Plains College and my master’s degree in school counseling from Fort Hays State University. I am certified as a school counselor by the state of Kansas.
In addition to counseling and teaching, this year I am one of the senior class sponsors as well as the head high school girls’ basketball coach.
My husband, Vern, is a graduate of Spearville High School and St. Mary of the Plains College. He is a farmer/rancher in the Spearville area. We have four children: Megan, Elle, Nathan, and Anna.
In my spare time, you will find me following our kids in their many activities. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, and watching college football and basketball.
