KSHSAA SPORTSMANSHIP
RULES
THE KSHSAA requires that all competing athletes coaches, and
spectators exhibit positive sportsmanship. Rule 52, Article 1
states:
Sportsmanship is a general way of thinking and behaving.
1. Be courteous to all (participants, coaches, officials, staff,
and fans).
2. Know the rules, abide by and respect the officials¹
decisions.
3. Win with character and lose with dignity.
4. Display appreciation for good performance regardless of the
team.
5. Exercise self-control and reflect positively upon yourself, your
team, and your school.
6. Permit only positive sportsmanlike behavior to reflect on your
school or its activities
